Hey Everyone!
I've made my long journey to Australia and am preparing for the months ahead. This week has been a time of orientation and settling into our living conditions. I'm staying in a house with 9 other girls and two leaders/staff. All together we have 2 girl houses, 1 boy house, and two staff houses within the Alexandra Headlands- about a 5 minute walk to the beach in Maroochydore. It is so beautiful here!
Tomorrow is our first day of lectures and I am so excited! This last week we have been spending time together doing various "orientation like" activities. We gave testimonies, went over the values of this base, and covered our work duties. The staff here are a lot of fun and they are excited to see us grow. Our first lecture topic is Hearing the Voice of God- the speaker is from Germany and his name is Borris. Anyways, I know our time here is going to be really intense and I can't wait to see what God is going to do!
PS: Apparently, in Australia the rule is- If it's alive, don't touch it. Pretty much everything here is full of poision. When it gets warmer we are suppose to watch for these spiders that I've heard are as big as your hand....not looking forward to that. I've been trying to run at night with one of my house mates and have seen many bats. The bats here are like cats with wings- they are massive!
that is all
