Hey Everyone!
First- I apologize for my posts being so few and far between, so much has been going on its hard to find time to write.
Its about 9pm here and I just returned from a lovely coffee date with some girls from my house. There is a town called Maloolaba about 20min walk from here and its really nice. It's basically just a resort/shopping area along the beach and it's a fun place to go at night. This whole week (until today) has been pretty cold and rainy , but it's a nice break from the really hot humid weather. Lectures are so awesome this week! One of our leaders, Sean, is speaking on Fearing God- but we have mostly just been talking about the true definition of worship. The other day we read about Isaiah and his vision of the Lord- Isaiah chapter 6. As Sean shared and we dug into the verses it was rad- just to come to a true realization of how majestic God is and how we should be in awe of him, worshiping him in reference. Sean teaches with such passion and its really inspiring. We've had a lot of good speakers the last couple of weeks as well. Joel spoke on spiritual warfare which was so awesome. He stressed the fact that we have so much authority in Christ and we need to approach his throne with confidence. All the lectures so far have been super thought provoking and challenging.
Today we traveled to Noosa for intercession. Every Friday morning we have intercession- which is basically coming before God on behalf of others. Usually we pray for the community of Sunshine Coast but today we prayed for our specific outreach locations. There are four different locations- Vanawatu, Cambodia/Veitnam,Pacific Islands, and India / Nepal. I'm part of the team goind to India and Nepal. We will be leaving on December 28th and we are so stoked!! The plan so far is this- we will be staying in Calcutta, India for about 2 weeks working with Kingdom's Kids. After that we will travel to Nepal and spend the next 41/2 weeks backpacking through the country and ministering to villages. Also, we are going to trek to the base camp of Mt. Everest and stay there for a while. We are so excited for what God has in store for each outreach team!
It is so beautiful here! Like I said, today we traveled to Noosa which is right along the beach. If you think"paradise"- that is exactly what it looked like. White sandy beaches and crystal blue waves. It was incredible! We stayed there for the day just relaxing in the sand and surfing. A group of us are going to the Australian zoo tomorrow. I have only heard wonderful things about the zoo so I'm pretty excited. Plus, you get to feed kangaroos and pet koalas there which is sweet.
I hope all is well! Hopefully it won't be 5 more weeks until I post again!

Here are some prayer requests:
~ That God will help us to focus on living in the moment. With our outreaches coming up it is hard not to simply focus on those instead of what God wants to do in us day to day.
~ Unity for our DTS.
~A refreshed passion and vision for our purpose here.

Thank you so much for you support!! :)

Hey Everyone!
I've made my long journey to Australia and am preparing for the months ahead. This week has been a time of orientation and settling into our living conditions. I'm staying in a house with 9 other girls and two leaders/staff. All together we have 2 girl houses, 1 boy house, and two staff houses within the Alexandra Headlands- about a 5 minute walk to the beach in Maroochydore. It is so beautiful here!
Tomorrow is our first day of lectures and I am so excited! This last week we have been spending time together doing various "orientation like" activities. We gave testimonies, went over the values of this base, and covered our work duties. The staff here are a lot of fun and they are excited to see us grow. Our first lecture topic is Hearing the Voice of God- the speaker is from Germany and his name is Borris. Anyways, I know our time here is going to be really intense and I can't wait to see what God is going to do!

PS: Apparently, in Australia the rule is- If it's alive, don't touch it. Pretty much everything here is full of poision. When it gets warmer we are suppose to watch for these spiders that I've heard are as big as your hand....not looking forward to that. I've been trying to run at night with one of my house mates and have seen many bats. The bats here are like cats with wings- they are massive!

that is all
